To allow trades that do not involve anyone but a trade for cap space. It would be a player for cap space or cap space for a player if that makes sense. In other words, you are trading a player for extra cap space or trading cap space for a player.

I like the idea of being able to move dollars around between teams. There is a few ways we can do this. We can have teams retain partial salary of a player up to a certain percentage each player. Also we can trade cap space up to a certain amount per season, example would be $25 per team, and a team can only receive up to $50 in compensation, this would bring a team max cap to $450 for the year. I think anything higher is too much. We can come up with a formal idea and put it to a poll and whatever passes will be the new rules for next season.
