Minor League/Amateur Draft - MiLB
1. The minor league/amateur draft will consist of players with no MLB experience whatsoever. International or currently in the minor leagues is fine, players just cannot be drafted at this level if they have any time on a MLB Roster.
2. The draft will begin on November 1st each year - at this time a $25 deposit is required
3. The draft will go in order from worst to first according to the previous season standings. This will be the draft order each round - NO SNAKE DRAFT
4. The draft will be a slow draft with an 8 hour time limit per pick. After round 3 the clock will be reduced to 6 hours. The draft clock will be shut off from 11 pm Pacific to 6am Pacific. Picks may still be made during that time but the clock will not run. Also if a team does not make a pick in the alloted time they will be allowed to make the pick at the end of the round before we move on to the next one, up until round 10. After round 10 if you do not make your pick in the alloted time, you will have to wait to make that pick until the end of the draft.
5. The draft will take place on Proboards - The draft will be 20 rounds for the inaugural year to establish our minor league squad. A team may choose to stop participating after round 10. In future years the draft will consist of 10 rounds to supplement our minors, and teams can choose to not participate after round 5 and/or trade picks away if they want.
6. Salary for all players drafted will be $1. Once a player is promoted they will bump up to the MLB $2 minimum and remain at that salary moving forward. They will be subject to salary increases going into the next year regardless if they are on the teams roster at the MLB or MiLB level.
